Tachyon Dynamics helps NetApp Achieve DoD UC APL Certification

Fairfax, VA — (August 16, 2012) – NetApp, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTAP), a leader in data storage and storage provisioning enterprise and data center products achieved the Defense Department Unified Capabilities Approved Products List (UC APL) certification with the help of the Washington DC-based Information Technology firm: Tachyon Dynamics.

NetApp received its certification as the first Data Storage Controller (DSC) for all NetApp filers using Data ONTAP software version 7.3.6.  The UC APL certification is a DoD testing program that requires all IT equipment to go through rigorous Information Assurance (IA), Interoperability, and Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) testing.

Tachyon Dynamics’ UC APL engineers helped NetApp through each part of the process from application, to hardening, to documentation and engineering design.  The engineers from Tachyon Dynamics were crucial to NetApp’s testing success.
