DoD UC APL Testing and Windows Security: DoD IAVerify

Completing the hurdle of DoD Unified Capabilities Testing (UC APL) in a decent amount of time is already a challenge.  However, if you have Microsoft Windows workstations (Vista, 7, 8, etc) or Windows Servers (2008, 2008 R2, 2012, etc), then your validation, hardening and testing gets so much more complicated.  For the DoD, Windows security is paramount.  Fortunately, Tachyon Dynamics has a test and hardening lab environment complete with DoD-level security controls for your Windows machines called DoD IAVerify

DoD IAVerify

DoD IAVerify is an environment that current clients of Tachyon Dynamics can utilize for their virtual and physical server testing verification in preparation for DoD UC APL testing.  With this private-cloud environment, we harden your Windows machines by applying all of the complex and very specific hardening guidance from all required sources like: DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAPs), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), and all of the various DoD 8500x requirements (DIACAP)..  These controls are applied with the most up-to-date released documentation from the DoD Information Assurance Support Environment (IASE) and done in a manner consistent with theDoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).  These systems are then tested for functionality to ensure they are still in a usable condition.
